The removal to the new place of residence
In 2007 the Main Library moved to a new place of residence at Pomorzany district. The Main Library and the Branch no 2 joined together in one building at Powstańców Wielkopolskich Street.
Before removal, which was carefully planned, the library collections were electronically protected against theft. After that they were transferred during 60 days to the new place of residence. Books and journals, shelf after shelf, traveled in special containers to the new library. Many people spent days to arrange the collections in the modern mobile storage system.
