• neurologic diseases
• multiple sclerosis: diagnosis, epidemiology and rehabilitation
• diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy

Current research projects

• changes in the nervous system in myelo- and lymphoproliferative diseases and in neoplasms outside the nervous system
• cytologic and immunological studies of the cerebrospinal fluid
• epidemiology of multiple sclerosis in the province of Szczecin
• risk factors in brain ischemia, with emphasis on lipid disorders
• electrophysiological methods in the early diagnosis of neural involvement during connective tissue diseases
• studies of diabetic neuropathy

Research methods used

• immunohistochemistry methods in neoplasms of the central nervous system, leukemias and lymphomas with CNS involvement
• cytochernical and immunological methods for studying cerebrospinal fluid
• neurophysiological examinations (EEG, EMG)
• computer-assisted image analysis in neuropathology

Future research plans

• continuation of the present studies
