• physiology and pathology of vision
• school and progressive myopias: pathogenesis, prevention and treatment
• infiltrative-edematous ophthalmopathy: diagnosis and treatment
• pathology of the vascular system of the eye

Current research projects

• spatial visual localization in physiology and pathology: patients with strabismus, with CNS disease, in ergonomy
• the influence of exercise with "plus" lenses and correction of exophoria on the progression of school myopia
• glaucoma and myopia
• changes in the eye following occlusion of carotid arteries: color Doppler ultrasonography

Research methods used

• static and kinetic perimetry
• ultrasonography, vision electrophysiology
• spatial localization, tonometry, tonography
• measurements of eye position and mobility utilizing the localization method

Future research plans

• treatment of vertical strabismus and strabismus accompanied by nystagmus
• treatment and prevention of accomodative and severe myopia
• studies on the vascular system of the eye using color Doppler ultrasonography
• new methods for treating infiltrative-edematous ophthalmopathy
• prevention of ophthalmological disorders in infants three months old
