Main interest

• traumatic disorders of the locomotory system in the elderly
• diseases of the spine, spine and spinal cord trauma
• degenerative changes of large joints (loose prosthesis)
• multiple injury of the locomotory system
• neoplasms of the locomotory system

Current research projects

• osteoporosis in the pathomechanism of bone fracture and healing process
• early diagnosis of loose hip prosthesis

Research methods used

• diagnostic radiology, CT scan, densitometry, scintigraphy, arthroscopy, MRI

Future research plans

• changes in the structure of bone following trauma of the locomotory system
• osteoporosis in pathologic fractures and healing of fractured bone
