• ischemic heart disease - evaluation of by-passes, coronary angioplasty, prognosis in myocardial infarction
• tumors of thyroid gland and breast
• bone diseases - metastases, inflammation
• kidney diseases - inborn defects and infections in children, arterial hypertension, problems in urine outflow
• liver angiomas

• perfusion scintigraphy of the heart
• studies of inflammation using labelled leukocytes
• J-131 therapy
• computer-assisted processing of results

Future research plans

• improvements in diagnostic methods (new radiopharmaceutical MIBI-Tc-99m tested) to qualify patients for radio-iodotherapy and for evaluation of the results of therapy in benign diseases of the thyroid gland
• two-year follow-up after a therapeutical dose of radio-iodine
• protocol for patients with neoplastic disease of the thyroid in respect of isotope diagnosis and hormone treatment, qualification for radio-iodine treatment at the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice
• diagnosis of primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism using subtraction scintigraphy and a computer algorithm
• tests on mammoscintigraphy for routine use in carcinoma of the breast
• usefulness of radioisotope methods in the diagnosis of ischemic heart disease
• diagnosis of inflammation
• screening of neonates
• usefulness of the WBR index for the diagnosis of osteoporosis
• differential diagnosis of metastases and angiomas in the liver
