§1

Sposób prowadzenia zajęć

Teaching Methods

  1. The course of “Social Dentistry” for Medicine & Dentistry students lasts for 2 semesters and comprises  45 hours of workshops  (25 hours in winter semester and 20 hours in summer semester).
  2. Presence at workshops is obligatory and the presence is registered. Classes start punctually in time and  room specified in timetable. Students, who are late above 15 minutes from the start of the class,  cannot participate in the workshop, however participation would be possible in justified situations.
  3. The classes are conducted in the mode of seminar and problem solving..
  4. The scope of knowledge and activity required for each workshop is given in the bulletin board. Student  is expected to read the appropriate passages from textbooks. During the classes the accuracy of  measurements with necessary calculations or appropriate solving of problem tasks will be assessed.

Mode and forms of compensation of missed activities

  1. Every absence must be justified and notified before the end of the course. In the case of absence due  to valid reasons, the student can participate in the class with another group or in additional time after  making an appointment with a lecturer or assistant. A justified absence requires suitable medical  certificate or certificate of PMU authorities.

    Warunki i sposoby dopuszczania studentów do zaliczeń i egzaminów

    Requirements for course completion in order to sit the credit of exam

    1. Necessary conditions to obtain semester credit: a. presence at all classes; b. positive mark from   a pre-test.

  2. Only one unjustified absence can be counted in the semester.
  3. Student who fails any pre-test should make a re-take within 2 weeks from the date  of announcement  of results.
  4. At the end of the course student has to obtain a final credit.

Zasady dopuszczające studenta do poszczególnych zajęć w  danym roku akademickim*

Principles of attending classes during the academic year*

1. A student whose name is listed on the attendance register in accordance with the decision of the  Dean's office is admitted to the course.

Warunki i sposoby przeprowadzania zaliczeń przedmiotu i egzaminów

Forms of credits, exams

1. The written test contains  closed and open tasks covers the scope of material realized within the  didactic classes and presented in the obligatory textbooks and the indicated literature.

Circumstances of exemption from credits or exams

  1. No exemption from eligibility conditions is expected

  1. During classes the communication with other persons using electronic devices is not allowed, while there is a total ban on having electronic devices which enable communication with other persons while solving pre-tests (according to Ordinance of the Rector of Pomeranian Medical University, No 71/2012).
